What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Pixels, tracking scripts and local storage work in similar ways, and we call all of them cookies here. Some are set by us; others are set by companies whose services appear on our pages.
Your choice
We only use non-essential cookies with your agreement.
Essential cookies are set automatically, because the site can’t work without them. Everything else — preferences, analytics and advertising — is only set after you accept it in our banner. Nothing in those categories loads before you choose.
You can accept all, reject all, or pick by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and refusing doesn’t limit your access to the site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in our footer.
We remember your choice for 12 months, then ask again. We’ll also ask again if we add a new cookie in a category you haven’t already accepted.
What we use
Essential cookies keep the site working — maintaining your session while you browse, remembering your cookie choice, storing the page settings needed to display pages properly, and protecting our forms from automated abuse. These can’t be switched off.
Preference cookies remember settings like your language or region so you don’t have to choose again.
Analytics cookies show us, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site — which pages are useful and where people get stuck. We use Google Analytics for this.
Advertising cookies let us measure how our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok campaigns perform and show relevant ads to people who’ve visited the site. If you accept these, the Meta Pixel sends Meta information about the pages you view and what you do here. Meta and Lux Lanka share responsibility for that processing; their privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Embedded content such as videos, maps and social feeds may set cookies from those providers when it loads. We only load embedded content after you’ve accepted the relevant category.
Before publishing, run a cookie scan and check this section matches what the site actually sets. Add or remove categories as needed.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, in Chrome under Privacy and security, in Safari and Firefox under Privacy, and in Edge under Cookies and site permissions. Doing this may affect how this and other websites work.

We update this policy whenever we add, remove or change the cookies we use. The date at the top shows the last revision.
